Overview

The North Westwood Neighborhood Council Governing Board regularly conducts hybrid meetings the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 P.M., both at Weyburn Terrace and virtually via Zoom teleconference, unless specified below.

NWWNC Committees meet virtually via Zoom teleconference at specified times for each committee, unless specified below.

All Neighborhood Council events are public. Regular meeting agendas are posted no later than 72 hours before the meeting date, and special meetings agendas are posted no later than 24 hours before the meeting date.

Here is a Google Maps link to the spot of the entrance; go in the building labeled "Weyburn Commons" in gold on the outside, enter the entrance marked "University Housing Administration," and then take the elevator/stairs to the 4th floor.

The meeting can be accessed by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 2, 8, Rapid 12, 17, and 18; Metro routes 2, 602, 761, and Metro Micro; Culver CityBus routes 6 and 6R; and BruinBus routes U1, U3, and U5. There are bike racks available outside, as well as a Metro Bike Share station. Nearby paid parking is available at UCLA Parking Structure 32 and the Broxton Public Parking Structure, among other locations.

Meeting Details

Public Input at Neighborhood Council Meetings

Public comment may be made on any agenda item, before the Board or Committee takes an action on an item, and on other matters not appearing on the agenda that are within the Board or Committee's jurisdiction, heard during the general public comment period. Please note that under the Brown Act, the Board or Committee is prevented from acting on a matter that you bring to its attention during the general public comment period; however, the issue raised by a member of the public may become the subject of a future Board or Committee meeting. Public comment is limited to two minutes per speaker, unless adjusted by the presiding officer of the Board or Committee.

Public comment may be made in any of the following ways: 1) by commenting orally in person at the meeting (for hybrid Board meetings only), 2) by submitting written comment beforehand to <jacobnwwnc@gmail.com> for Board meetings or the appropriate contact for each committee (with “Public Comment” and the agenda item number in the subject line), or 3) by commenting via teleconferencing. For comments made via teleconferencing, the public is requested dial *9 or use the “raise hand” option when prompted by the presiding officer to address the Board or Committee. Instructions on how to sign up for public comment will be given to attendees at the start of the meeting.
